Johnny Mac graduated from Castleton State College back in the eighties, receiving a BA in English. From 83-90, working as a real estate broker, Jmac attended seminars, workshops, and practiced direct marketing, using all of his communications skills.

1990 - Present, Jmac has managed 4 resort hotels at Killington, in Vermont. He successfully set up, designed and managed the marketing programs, database and networking solutions, customer service programs, and again, attended seminars, workshops, and practiced direct marketing, using and learning new skills.

 When the world wide web sprang up in 1994, he was one of the first to incorporate its marketing abilities to grow in a time of downturn for the region. As budgets got tight, long term employee base began to dwindle, and experienced personnel became scarce, the proper use of data management became vital to this industry.

Business Owners Benefited

As Johnny Mac's skills developed, so did his professional network. Regional experts and web forums became essential to managing on a shoestring. Thinline Management was born, and though it existed on paper as a DBA, it truly was the seed of cooperation.

Seeking solutions to difficult situations created bonds between many managers and owners of a myriad of companies. Bartering with internet and database skills, Jmac was able to trade for substantial gains that allowed him to continue his education in the coding game.
